What is Family Connects Oregon? Family Connects Oregon is an evidence-based universally offered home visiting program for families with newborns that launched in Oregon in 2021. A Registered Nurse provides between one and three home visits beginning at about three weeks of age to assess newborn and birthing parent physical, mental and emotional health, support and respond to immediate family needs, and connect families with local community services and resources. It is currently available to residents in Malheur, Jefferson, Crook, Deschutes, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, and Washington counties with statewide expansion planned over time.
