Meeting topic: Oregon Health Authority (OHA) staff will provide an overview of the new requirements regarding hospital financial assistance in HB 3320 (2023) and recently finalized rules. Topics will include prescreening for presumptive eligibility for financial assistance, appeals, data reporting, and others. There will be time for Q & A.
The rules regarding prescreening and presumptive eligibility take effect July 1, 2024, along with most provisions of the bill. Aspects of the bill and rules related to appeals and data reporting become operative on January 1, 2025.
